Here we are….TODAY

October 22, 2009 I walked into a Michaels with my husband and picked up a few random odds and ends. He asked what I was doing and I simply told him, “I’m going to make something.” At the time I was on Maternity leave and very unsure as to if I was going back to work or what would happen next in my (usual) full steam ahead career. I made a frame, and 3 months later A Jolie Design was an LLC and in the months to follow I began everything to go with it.

I built A Jolie Designs first website with ZERO web knowledge and a “drag and drop” template website builder. I toyed with it a lot, I started a Facebook page and I happily continued to create. Looking back to that day in Michaels it was really a changing point for me. A Jolie is not this big shop, it’s not international and I am still creating…one item at a time. What has happened are frames, keepsake boxes, mirrors, nursery & children’s room design, expos, customized hanging letters, dazzled names, headbands, baby shower creations, gifts, accessories and this year AJolieDesign labeled onesies. Also, at some random point this year, I received a phone call asking me to do an interview as a South Florida Nursery Designer. I thought it was a joke and I still can’t believe that I am a feature in an actual magazine. I/We have come a long way from those random odds that created a pink wooden frame with a frog on the side.

Early 2013 I started my journey with growing AJolie, as always my personal life & career lead me to focus on growing my super small business. I sought out to find a website designer as I wanted my site to be as cutting edge, functional, useful and of course pretty as it could be. I stumbled upon a gentleman that has invested as much into AJolie’s vision as I have over the years. What I thought would be a new website, had become a company overhaul. My logo, the duckie that has been with me from day one…disappeared and with that the new AJolie emerged. I have been able to focus my energy on this tiny little vision that is a passion of mine and this new website is a culmination of all of that.

Of course I am always available to any of my customers (new or old) and I want to talk about whatever it is you want to create, as I have in the past. You now just have more options. This new site has been a labor of love with a super talented team! I’m interested in your opinions, I welcome your thoughts. And I look forward to working with new people in the future. I hope anyone reading this can see my journey so far and I hope that you are enjoying looking through the new site.

I am not a professional mom, I’m not knower of all things design or craft… I’m a designer-mom on a mission…to bring a little happy to the organized chaos that is family, home and love!
