Over the years I’ve seen, researched and created an eclectic mix of nursery and kids rooms. In the last few years most nurseries designs have become modern. Using elements like chandeliers, fashion wall coverings and hard lines.
I love a modern nursery, but what happened to the kid’s fun in nurseries? I want to bring more of the kid back into kid’s rooms. Keep that awesome chandelier, but add a hanging monkey–I’m joking, well kind of. There has to be a mix between the nurseries of my era and the ones of today.
In design I will always try to incorporate that little element of fun, even in the most modern nursery. At the end of the day, this is a room for the baby’s imagination to grow and go wild. And that little monkey….might just be the right touch!
