Is it just ME???????

I just need to have a TRUTH Moment! Monday through Sunday my life is non STOP! I am a designer, company marketing guru, Instagram publisher, FB poster, taxi, chef, hair stylist & play date. I drop off my little one by 8am Monday through Friday and I try to pick her up by 5:30pm…Some days I try to journey to the park with her, others we run home to catch the sun and play outside. After this hour of fun its time to run inside…eat dinner, bath and BED. I try very hard but there are only 3 hours in between picking my daughter up and getting her in bed. Its near impossible to get all of these things done, while still holding intelligent conversations with other adults (who would have thunk it) OR the fact that my daughter inevitably throws in some kind of “lets watch a movie or play tea party” curve ball.

I’m not going to lie, I sometimes feel inadequate. There are not enough hours in the day! There is too much to be done, and I never want her to feel neglected. It is a daily struggle for me. Right now, RIGHT NOW, I am trying to write this blog while she is playing with Beauty and the Beast sitting next to me, she just wants to play and I wish I could drop everything and do that, all the time but I can’t. About an hour ago while I attempted to talk to my colleague about this very website, she cried begging me to give her a bath because Daddy just isn’t as fun (sorry Daddy) I was torn but I had to put my foot down and make her go let her Dad help her while I tried to work.
Another example….since I have TONS of “working and being a mom simply doesn’t work” stories…. At my daughters school some of the mothers come and eat lunch with their children at 11:15am….SOOOOO Of course my child would like Mommy to come…can you imagine how bad I feel. Everyone else has Mommy at lunch and I simply can’t pull it off! I think there should be a rule….NO MOMMY’S AT Lunch time! I’m only joking but seriously mommy code should be “don’t make the other mommy’s in the class look bad.” I say all of that to say there has to be a happy middle ground somewhere….We’ll have to explore this all later though….The Dog just ate her tea party cookie and she is hysterical… MOMMY to the rescue!!!
